Reference: Refer to the Hydraulic and Steering Systems module of the appropriate Spectifications, System Operation, Testing and Adjusting, Service Manual for your machine.

The adjustment procedure for the steering console cylinder given in the service manuals for these machines may be too fine of an adjustment in some cases. If the steering console cylinder is drifting the adjustment should be checked. The following procedure and illustration should be used when adjusting the cylinder.


Lower Cross Section of 116-4211 Console Group

1. Thread the cylinder and rod (1) into the retainer (2).

2. Tighten the cylinder and rod (1) until the pin (3) contacts the ball (4).

3. Loosen the cylinder and rod (1) one half turn.

4. Tighten the locknut (5).
