Installation Of The Parts Service 7N-3542 Core In The Basic Radiator Assembly {1353}

Usage:

D250B (5WD),
D300B (4SD),
D300D (5MG),
D250E (5TN),
D300E (7FN) Articulated Trucks

There have been questions concerning the installation of the parts service 7N-3542 Core in the basic radiator groups in the articulated trucks listed above. The following information should be noted when installing a parts service core in the above machines.

1. The 7N-3542 Core has the corners of the end plates that are cut away at one end. It is not necessary to use the studs in the radiator header tank at that corner. The studs may either be left in place and not used or removed from the radiator header tank.
2. At the other end of the core, there are only three holes and five holes in the radiator header tank. Remove the unnecessary studs from the header tank (two studs in each header tank).
3. The joint between the core and header tanks will be free of leaks when the 6U-8687 Gasket is used.
