Hydraulic Hose Retention For Vibratory And Drum Propel Systems Improved {5057}

Usage:

CS-431C (9XL),
CP-433C (2JM, 1ZN),
CS-433C (3TM, 2TN) Vibratory Compactors

Description of Change:

The hose retention method for the vibratory and drum propel system hydraulic hoses has been changed. The new hose retention method will improve the service life of the propel and vibratory hoses.

NOTE: CS-431C machines do not have a drum propel hydraulic system. There are only vibratory hydraulic hoses going to the drum on the right side of the machine.

Adaptable To:

The new hose retention method is effective with (CS-431C (9XL150), CP-433C (2JM315, 1ZN126), CS-433C (3TM346, 2TN181) Vibratory Compactors. The improved hose retention system can be applied to previous machines by following the procedure below.

Procedure To Install The New Hose Retention System

Illustration 1. View of existing clamp block. (A) Existing bar. (B) Clamp block.

1. Remove existing clamp block (B).

Illustration 2. View Z-Z (CP-433C and CS-433C machines only). (A) Existing bar. (C) 6 mm (.24 in) fillet weld. (1) 123-8156 Plate.

Illustration 3. Front view of frame (CP-433C and CS-433C machines only). (A) existing bar. (1) 123-8156 Plate.

2. For CP-433C and CS-433C machines, weld 123-8156 Plate (1) to the INSIDE surface of existing bar (A) with a 6 mm (.24 in.) fillet weld. Align the back of plate (1) and bar (A) as shown in illustrations 2 and 3.

NOTE: CS-431C machines do not have a drum propel hydraulic system and do not need 123-8156 Plate (1).

For Machines NOT Equipped With A Dozer Blade

NOTE: Step 3 is for machines NOT equipped with a dozer blade.

Illustration 4. CP-433C and CS-433C machines NOT equipped with a dozer blade. Note: CS-431C machines are similar, but do not have the propel hydraulic lines running on the left side of the machine.

3. Secure the vibratory and propel hydraulic lines using 1G-9802 Clamps (6), as shown in illustrations 4 and 5.

NOTE: CS-431C machines do not have hydraulic lines running on the left side of the machine.

For Machines Equipped With A Dozer Blade

NOTE: Steps 4 through 6 are for machines equipped with a dozer blade.

4. Ensure that existing blade valve mounting bolts (C) are installed so that the bolt head is facing towards the inside of the machine. Reposition the bolts, if necessary.

5. Secure the vibratory hydraulic lines using 1G-9802 Clamp (6) as shown. Installation of the clamp also requires one each of 7X-2543 Bolt (4), 8T-4121 Washer (2) and 8T-0389 Locknut. These parts are not visible in illustration 7.
