Verify Offset Dimension When Ordering New Wheel Assembly {4209,4202}

Usage:

CS-531 (3WM, 4KM),
CS-533 (3BL, 4HL),
CS-563 (8XF, 7GG),
CS-573 (8PK),
CS-583 (8YJ, 1EL) Vibratory Compactors

Description of Change:

A change to the side profile of the tires used on later production smooth drum machines requires the use of a different wheel assembly. If the incorrect wheel assembly is used, the clearance between the frame and the tire sidewall will be reduced. This may cause increased wear to occur on the tire sidewall.

The tire part number was not changed. To determine the correct wheel assembly for replacement, the offset dimension of the old wheel assembly must be measured.

Adaptable To:

The 6R-4165 Wheel Assembly has been replaced by the 6R-4385 Wheel Assembly in the 1G-3605 Wheel and Tire Group. Both the 6R-4165 and 6R-4385 Wheel Assemblies are available from the parts system.

When replacing a wheel assembly, measure the offset dimension of the old wheel assembly to determine the correct part number of the new wheel assembly. Refer to the illustration and chart to measure the offset dimension and identify the correct wheel assembly.
