Improved Multi-Row Modules (IMRM) Used In Caterpillar Radiators Have Different Designs {1353}

Usage:

Caterpillar Machines Equipped With IMRM Radiator Core Assemblies

Because of dual sourcing of suppliers IMRM (radiator core assemblies) have significantly different construction in the above machines powered by 3114/3116/3126/3204/3304/3306/3406/3406C Engines.

Illustration 1. IMRM radiator core designs, with the same part number. Soldered/ceramic coated inside (left view), welded tubes/soldered (right view).

Illustration 2. IMRM radiator core designs with the same part number. Notice the differences in the tube size/arrangement, core outside dimensions and welded construction of the mini-tanks. The fin spacing (nine fins per inch) and the snout dimensions and the cooling performance are the same.

NOTE: Though the construction is different from supplier to supplier, the performance of the IMRM is the same.
