New Pump Drive Gear And Shaft Have More Clearance{3101,3108}

Usage:

966D Loaders, 814B Tractors, 815B And 816B Compactors

Reference: Service Magazine, June 14, 1982, Page 6. The article "Improved Pump Drive Shaft Has More Clearance," tells about an improvement made to the former shaft. The part number of the shaft did not change at that time. Now, a new shaft and gear are used.

Description of Change: A new pump drive gear and shaft are now used in the torque converter groups on the above machines. The splines of the new gear and shaft have more clearance. This clearance will make it easier to assemble the gear and shaft. It will also decrease the possibility of shaft breakage when the shaft does not move freely.

Adaptable As: The new 6T1705 Shaft and 6T1706 Gear are direct replacements for the former 9P9511 Shaft and 8P4644 Gear, respectively. The former parts have been canceled.
