Install Seal Correctly In Wheel Leaning Mechanism To Prevent Leakage{5224}

Usage:

120B, 140B Motor Graders

Correct installation of the 4D1608 Seal in the wheel leaning mechanism is necessary to prevent oil leakage. If the seal is not installed correctly, it is possible for the seal to be pushed out of its seat when extra lubricant is put into the 2F7999 Bearing. The seal must be installed with the lip toward the outside. See the illustration. This will permit the extra lubricant to flow past the seal and will not permit dirt and foreign material to get into the bearing.

Make a note of this information in your Service Manual.
