Heinzmann Wastegate Actuator Relocated{1057}

Usage:

G3606 (3XF1-113),
G3608 (4WF1-67) Engines

Description of Change: The Heinzmann wastegate actuator has been relocated to the same level as the choke actuator. See Illustration 1. A new support bracket, rod, and associated hardware have been released to relocate the wastegate actuator to a position in front of the existing choke actuator position. The new bracket will mount directly to the aftercooler housing. This new mounting location will help prevent support bracket failures. The actuator and wiring harness reliability is also expected to improve because of a reduced vibration level at the new mounting location.

Adaptable To: The chart and Illustration 1 identify the components required to relocate the wastegate actuator. After relocating the wastegate actuator, be sure the lever arms on the wastegate and actuator are oriented as shown in Illustration 2. Adjust the length of rod (2) as shown in Illustration 2.
