Usage:
G3508 (4WD, 9TG, 9AW),
G3512 (5JD, 7NJ, 6JW, 5ZZ),
G3516 (8LD, 4EK, 8PW, 8JZ) Engines
The correct gas fuel pressure must be supplied to the engine in order for the engine to operate properly. Engines with different types of fuel systems require different gas pressures. These different types of fuel systems are available for the engines listed above:
-
- * LE (Low Emission) with high pressure gas
- * LE with low pressure gas
- * Standard (stochiometric) with high pressure gas
- * Dual fuel arrangement with a carburetor for high pressure gas and a carburetor for low pressure gas
- * Dual fuel arrangement with two parallel low pressure gas carburetors
- * LE (Low Emission) with high pressure gas
Fluctuation of the gas pressure will change the air/fuel ratio. This can have an adverse effect on operation and on emissions. To provide stable operation, the variation of the gas pressure is limited. This tolerance depends on the fuel system pressure.
The following chart lists the different types of fuel systems with the corresponding ranges of gas fuel pressure and the variations in pressure that can be tolerated.
NOTE: Some sites require exceptions to the gas fuel pressures that are recommended in the following chart. The exceptions are recommended by the factory. Consult the factory for information on exceptions.
