The special instructions and the components required to convert G3600 Engines that are equipped with a Heinzman Electronic Actuator System to the new Hydraulic Actuator System (Hydrax) are available. The following special instructions are available through normal Caterpillar literature ordering channels:

These special instructions identify all the required components and provide detailed installation information required for this conversion.
In addition to the components identified in the Special Instructions, the following wiring diagrams should be requested from your local Caterpillar Dealer:
NOTE: A new personality module is required when the Hydrax system is installed. Before ordering your new personality module, please complete the form included in the special instruction. Mail or fax the completed form to the factory as instructed. This will insure that you receive the proper personality module configuration for operation with the Hydrax system.
The Hydrax system is intended to reduce maintenance cost and improve actuator system reliability. Proper installation and setup are required to optimize the system. See the Reference Articles for additional information.
