Procedure To Install A Protective Fuse For Slave Relay Number 1 In The Engine Supervisory System (ESS) Panel {1900}

Usage:

G3606 (3XF),
G3608 (4WF),
G3612 (1YG),
G3616 (4CG) Engines

Use the following procedure to install a fuse to protect the SR1 and the relay base in the ESS Panel from overload damage.

1. Remove electrical power to the ESS Panel by removing the main electrical power fuse.

2. Identify the SR1. SR1 is the top relay on the strip containing three relays.

3. Remove the separators from between the relay bases. There is one separator located between each relay base.

4. Slide all the relays down so there is additional room above the SR1.

5. Install a 136-7341 Fuse Block in the space created in Step 4. DO NOT install a fuse at this time.

6. Remove wires from terminal 66 on the SR1. Connect these wires to one side of the fuse block installed in Step 5.

7. Use a short piece of 16 or 18 gauge wire to connect the open terminal on the fuse block to SR1 terminal 66.

8. Install a 3K-8782 Fuse (10 amp) in the fuse block.

9. Install the main electrical power fuse that was removed in Step 1. Continue normal operation.
