Description of Change: Conversion gas valve kits are available for the above engines. The gas valve kits provide a valve and jet to replace the standard valve/jet combination when an air/fuel ratio control is used in conjunction with a three way catalyst.
Adaptable To: The 133-0558 Gas Valve Kit is designed for rich feedback control. It is used with a throttling type air/fuel ratio controller (a control valve upstream regulates fuel flow to the carburetor). The 133-0558 Gas Valve Kit is designed to be rich enough for proper control even under the coldest air inlet temperatures.
The 138-7191 Gas Valve Kit is designed for lean feedback control. It is used with an enrichment type air/fuel ratio controller (gas pressure is increased at the regulator or fuel is added between the carburetor and the throttle body).
