Caterpillar Now Has Parts Support For Previously Non-Supported Custom Parts {7567}

Usage:

3500 And 3600 Diesel Engines, G3400, G3500 And G3600 Engines

Caterpillar will now provide parts support for previously non-supported custom parts in the above commercial engine applications. These custom parts consist of parts without Caterpillar part numbers on the engine prints. The new process for ordering a custom part is as follows:

1. The customer will order the new part from the Caterpillar Dealer.

2. The Caterpillar Dealer will contact the respective customer services group representative:

3600 Diesel Engines - Bob Hall, Phone (317) 448-5317.
3500 Diesel Engines - Richard Mizanin, Phone (317) 448-5911.
G3500/G3600 Engines - Doug Morse, Phone (317) 448-5980.

3. The customer service representative will provide a lead time, price, and a Caterpillar part number to the dealer so the part can then be ordered through normal channels.

4. Once a custom part has been assigned a Caterpillar part number, that part will then be supported through the normal Caterpillar parts system.

5. Periodic updates of newly released parts will be identified in future Engine News articles.

NOTE: Urgent orders may need to be procured by the dealer or the customer directly from the supplier if the part has not previously been set up in the Caterpillar parts system.

The following chart identifies custom parts that have recently been added to the Caterpillar parts system.
