New Software Is Now Used for Certain C175-16 Engines {7620}

Usage:

C175-16 WYC
Engine
C175-16 (S/N: WYC1-2015)

Description Of Change: The new aftertreatment software has been improved and includes the following updates:

  1. The aftertreatment software has the potential to log a 4358-17 Low Gas Differential Pressure code. The new software has an updated pressure differential map to account for normal exhaust flow variability within the aftertreatment Clean Emission Module. This action will avoid a false tripping of the 4358-17 code.

    Existing C175-16 Tier 4 gensets that have been put into service and that have not experienced the 4358-17 code, the exhaust flow variability is within the existing Delta P pressure map and the code will not log.

    For new C175-16 gensets going through the commissioning process, it is always recommended to update to the latest released software as part of the standard commissioning process.

  2. During factory build of the dosing cabinet, the Air Assist solenoid valve would not actuate during the end of line factory testing due to low actuator current.

    Note: This only affected dosing cabinets going through the factory build and does not affect existing dosing cabinets already installed at customer sites. To correct the low current, new aftertreatment ECM software was required.

Adaptable To: The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

Refer to Table 1 for the new and former aftertreatment software.
