Problem
3512 Well Service Engines that are equipped with a Cat transmission and Dynamic Gas Blending Kit may experience speed instability issues at low idle and throttling issue. The Dynamic Gas Blending software does not broadcast SPN 513 "Actual Engine Percent Torque". CAT transmissions with newer software are affected by this issue.
Solution
Work through your dealer Technical Communicator (TC) to contact the DSN and request 380-8929 Power Train Software Gp . The 380-8929 Software is specifically for the transmission. Follow Special Instruction, REHS4541 to set the reference torque value in the transmission configuration menu.
