Fuel Filter Housings - Remove and Install

Usage:

C280-12 RML

Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

  2. Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel System Pressure Release" for the correct procedure.

  3. Remove elbows (1), (2) and (3). Remove tube assembly (4). Remove the O-ring seals and the gaskets.

  4. Remove elbow (5) and the O-ring seal.

  5. Remove elbow (6) and the O-ring seal.

  6. Attach a suitable lifting device to manifold assembly (7). The weight of manifold assembly (7) is approximately 57 kg (125 lb).

  7. Remove bolts (8) and (9) and remove manifold assembly (7).

  8. Disconnect harness assemblies (10). Disconnect tube assembly (11).

  9. Attach a suitable lifting device to fuel filter housing (12). The weight of fuel filter housing (12) is approximately 90 kg (198 lb).

  10. Remove bolt (13). Remove bolts (14) and remove fuel filter housing (12).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install fuel filter housing (12) in the reverse order of removal.
