Requirements

  • 1 Laptop with Hyperterminal. (OS: Windows).

  • Laptop and NMC need to be connected to LAN Network.

  • Lan Network equipped with DHCP Server.

  • For local access, use a computer that connects to the Management Card through the serial port to access the command-line interface.

  • Disable any service that uses the serial port at the computer.

  • Connect the provided serial cable from the selected port on the computer to the configuration port at the Management Card.

  • UPS is Powered ON and NMC is started.

  • Download software from PowerNet.

Update Type

The update type has two possible cases as listed below.

  • Update to Cat Card (spare part coming from Supplier).

  • Firmware update

To update the card, User must know the "User name" and "Password".

Identify IP Address Card

User needs to use consol port of NMC.

  • Open HyperTerminal (9600,8,N,1) and launch connection, then press enter twice or click HyperTerminal file setting.
