Item     | Qty     | Part     | Specification Description     |
1     | 8     | 6V-3917 O-Ring Seal     | Before assembly, lightly lubricate the bore with 5P-3975 Rubber Lubricant.     |
2     | 12     | 6J-0934 Bolt     | Use the following procedure in order to tighten the bolts for aftercooler assembly: 1. Assemble seals to the aftercooler core. 2. Temporarily secure the bottom seal with tape. Do not use an adhesive, a silicone lubricant, or any other lubricant for retention of the seal. 3. Assemble the aftercooler with the seals to the inlet manifold. 4. Inspect the bottom seal in order to ensure that the seating is correct in the recess. 5. Install the aftercooler cover. 6. Inspect the upper seal in order to ensure that the seating is correct in the recess. 7. Install the cover bolts and hand tighten the bolts. 8. Tighten the bolts in the numerical sequence as shown in Illustration 2 to 24 ± 6 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft). 9. Tighten the bolts in the numerical sequence as shown in Illustration 2 to 47 ± 9 N·m (35 ± 7 lb ft). 10. Remove the tape.     |
