Alternator - Remove and Install

Usage:

C32 DSJ

Removal Procedure

  1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

  2. Disconnect harness assemblies (3).

  3. Remove alternator belt (1).

  4. Remove bolt (2).

  5. Remove nut (5), the washers, and bolt (6).

  6. Remove alternator (4).

Installation Procedure

  1. Position alternator (4).

  2. Install bolt (6), the washers, and nut (5).

  3. Install bolt (2).

  4. Install alternator belt (1).

  5. Adjust belt tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Alternator Belt - Inspect/Adjust/Replace" for the correct adjusting procedure.

  6. Connect harness assemblies (3).

  7. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
