Investigation of Fault or Dropped Load on UPSB125/130 Systems{4480}

UPSB 125 (S/N: SEP1-UP)
UPSB 130 (S/N: XTC1-UP)

Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

Investigation cannot be performed due to lack of certain information for analysis during occurrence of major failure or dropped customer load on UPSB125/130 product.

Solution

Specific data are required for investigation of the failure or dropped load prior to powering down the UPSB125/130 systems.

Follow the below steps during the occurrence of major fault or dropped customer load:

  1. Check the UPS display for the existence of a PFC fault.

  1. Collect the data logs.

  1. Note the LED status of the core boards (MIZNUS, CHAN, and GDEN) before initiating a power down of the UPSB125/130.

Submit the feedback to Caterpillar Customer Service via the Dealer Solution Network (DSN).
