Test Requirements
1. Set test stand relief to 2000 kPa (290 psi)
2. For all testing leave cap on gallery port
Test Procedure
Use the following test steps in order to test the pressure control valve:
1. Leakage Check

A. Apply 700 ± 50 kPa (102 ± 7 psi) pressure to the pressure port.

B. Maximum allowable flow from tank port is 6 L/min (1.6 US gpm)
2. Bypass Valve Test

A. Vent "GP" port to atmosphere

B. Apply 250 ± 25 L/min (66 ± 7 US gpm) pump flow to pressure port

Note: The cracking pressure for the valve should be 975 ± 25 kPa (140 ± 4 psi). Add shims if pressure is below 950 kPa (138 psi). Remove shims if pressure is above 1000 kPa (145 psi).

1. One 177-7130 Shim raises the pressure roughly 14 kPa (2 psi)
2. One 177-7131 Shim raises the pressure roughly 7 kPa (1 psi)

3. Regulator Valve Test

A. Connect "GP" port to pressure port

B. Apply 250 ± 25 L/min (66 ± 7 US gpm) pump flow to pressure port

C. Full flow should be seen at the tank port

Note: The cracking pressure should be 590 ± 25 kPa (86 ± 4 psi) for the 380-4432 Pressure Control Valve Gp and 660 ± 25 kPa (96 ± 4 psi) for the 424-9011 Pressure Control Valve Gp

1. One 177-7130 Shim raises the pressure roughly 14 kPa (2 psi)
2. One 177-7131 Shim raises the pressure roughly 7 kPa (1 psi)
(1) 0.50 mm (0.02 inch)
(2) 1 mm (0.04 inch)
