1. Loosen the nuts on both clamp assemblies (1) .

2. Remove clamp assemblies (4) and remove bolts (3) .

3. Remove bolt (5) and remove tube assembly (2) .

4. Disconnect breather tube (8) from the valve mechanism cover (7) .

5. Remove bolts (6) that hold valve mechanism cover (7) to the valve mechanism cover base. Remove the valve mechanism cover (7) .

Tightening sequence

1. Position valve mechanism cover (7) on the valve mechanism cover base. Install bolts (6). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 18 ± 3 N·m (13 ± 2 lb ft) in the numerical sequence that is shown in Illustration 5.

2. Install breather tube (8) to the valve mechanism cover.

3. Position tube assembly (2) and install clamp assemblies (4) .

4. Install bolts (3) and (5) .

5. Install clamp assemblies (1). Tighten the nuts on clamp assemblies (1) to a torque of 14 ± 1 N·m (124 ± 9 lb in). Lightly tap around the diameter of the clamp assembly with a soft hammer. Tighten the nut to a torque of 14 ± 1 N·m (124 ± 9 lb in).
