Start By:
- Remove the rotating rectifier assembly. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly, "Diode Assembly - Remove and Install" section of this publication.
- Remove the PMG components. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly, "PMG Removal Procedure" section of this publication.
- Remove the end bracket. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "End Bracket - Remove" section of this publication.
- Route the rotating rectifier cables (3) to ensure that no damage will occur during bearing removal.

(4) Generator bearing - Attach a suitable lifting device (1) to the puller (2). The weight of puller (2) is approximately
27 kg (60 lb) . - Assemble the puller (2) into position.
Note: Ensure that the bearing retainer (6) will not interfere with the bearing removal process.

Note: This procedure is a destructive procedure. The bearing will be damaged. The bearing will need to be replaced.
Bearing Installation Procedure
- Raise the temperature of the new bearing (8) to approximately
107° C (225° F) .There to two bearing heaters that are available.

(8) New bearing installed - Install new bearing (8). Ensure that the bearing is fully seated against the shoulder on the main rotor shaft.
End By:
- Install the end bracket. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "End Bracket - Remove" and "End Bracket - Install".
- Install the PMG components. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly, "PMG Installation Procedure" section of this publication.
- Install the rotating rectifier assembly. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly, "Diode Assembly - Remove and Install" section of this publication.
