Problem

There have been reports of leaks of the 137-5541 Fuel Priming Pump As .

Solution

Use existing parts until a permanent repair is defined. Use the following procedure for using the fuel priming pump.

Priming the Engine

  1. Loosen the fuel priming pump.

  1. Prime the engine until pressure is felt.

  1. Tighten the fuel priming pump.

  1. Start the engine.

  1. If the engine does not start, repeat Step 1 through Step 4.

Note: Do not crank the engine while you are using the fuel priming pump.
