Usage:
The 5P9736 Bracket-Link, which can be used in place of an eyebolt to fasten a lifting tool, is now available separately for parts service. Formerly, the bracket-link was only available with the 9S9100 Universal Sling Assembly and the 9S9101 Universal Sling Assembly. Two bracket-links come with each of these sling assemblies.
The 5P9736 Bracket-Link can be used as a replacement for an eyebolt that is rated at the same load capacity. The bracket-link has two advantages over a standard eyebolt.
... The load capacity of an eyebolt will decrease when the load is at an angle to the center line of the eyebolt. The load capacity of the bracket-link does not decrease when the angle of the load changes.
... Less clearance is needed for installation of the bracket-link.
The maximum rated load capacity of the 5P9736 Bracket-Link is 4000 lb (1818 Kg). The angle of a load will not change the rated load capacity of the bracket-link. The .625" (15.88 mm) diameter hole in the bracket will permit the use of a 1/2" (12.7 mm) bolt or a 9/16" (14.3 mm) bolt to install the bracket-link for a lifting operation.
