Description of Change: New head assemblies, head gaskets, and spacer plate gaskets give a better seal in the gear pocket area of the cylinder head on the above engines, and prevent oil leakage at the spacer plate. The new head assemblies do not have clearance holes near the gear pocket for the studs to extend through to the camshaft base. The new head assemblies have two tapped holes on the top side of the head. The camshaft base will now be fastened to the head assembly with bolts.
The new head gaskets are similar to the former head gaskets except the rubber material around the gear pocket has been increased in thickness by .010" (0.25 mm).
The new spacer plate gaskets have a Nitrile material around the gear pocket area.
