Description of Change: A new belt guard is now used on the engines that are listed above. The new more rugged belt guard incorporates riveted blocks with isolators that eliminate vibration at all mounting locations. The newly designed belt guard eliminates the possibility of cracking at the mounting tabs which can result in contact with the belt.

The new 318-8913 Belt Guard Assembly is a direct replacement for the 141-4923 Belt Guard Assembly. The new 318-8913 Belt Guard Assembly and the other parts that are listed in Table 1 are part of the 129-5640 Belt Guard Gp.

The engines that are listed in Table 2 are now produced with the new 318-8913 Belt Guard Assembly. The new 318-8913 Belt Guard Assembly is adaptable back to the first production of the listed machines.
