Diagnostic Capabilities
电子控制系统能够检测故障。 当检测到故障时，系统会产生一个故障诊断代码。 在大多数情况下，该代码也会被记录在电子控制模块（ECM）中。
当产生代码时，代码处于现行状态。 现行代码表示目前存在某种故障。 在进行其他任何工作之前，始终要诊断和排除现行代码的故障。 如果发动机存在一个激现行代码，则应在本手册中找到该代码，然后继续进行诊断，找出该代码的原因。
被存储在 ECM 中的诊断代码也会被记录。 记录的代码不一定表示需要进行某种修理。 故障可能是暂时的，或者故障可能在被记录后已得到修复。 记录的代码可能由间歇性故障引起。
