Additional Clamp Reduces Vibration Of Turbocharger Oil Supply Line{1050,1052,1053}

Description of Change: A clamp has been added to reduce vibration of a turbocharger oil supply line on 3500 Industrial, Marine and Generator Set Engines.

Adaptable As: The 1N4734 Clamps have been added to the 1W5934 Turbocharger Oil Lines Group. The additional 1N4734 Clamps, when used with the parts shown in the chart, can be adapted to all of the above engines. The new clamps are in effect on 3516 Industrial, Marine and Generator Set Engines (25Z481, 27Z636 and 29Z764).

The clamp is attached to the 4W3049 Bracket that supports the left manifold in the 1W5937 Exhaust Manifold Group and to the 1W3843 Bracket in the 1W5936 Exhaust Manifold Group.

Installation Instructions

To install the 1N4734 Clamps, put the clamps in place as shown in the illustration. Mark the location of the hole. Remove the clamps and drill a 11.0 mm (0.43") diameter hole. Install the clamps and related components.
