New Fuel Injector Assembly Reduces Smoke When Operating At Lower RPM And Load{1251,1250}

Usage:

3500 Series Marine And Generator Set Engines With 1301 To 1600 Full Load RPM

Description of Change: The above engines use the new 7W1035 Injector Assembly. 3500 Series Marine and Generator Set Engines with 1601 to 1800 full load rpm, 3500 Series Industrial Engines and 3500 Series Vehicular Engines will continue to use the 2W5201 Injector Assembly.

An engine with 2W5201 Injector Assemblies may produce excessive black smoke when operated at lower rpm and load. The use of 7W1035 Injector Assemblies will reduce black smoke at the lower rpm and load.

Adaptable To: The new 7W1035 Injector Assembly is in effect as shown in the chart. The 7W1035 Injector Assembly can not be used in a engine with a full load setting higher than 1600 rpm. If the new injector assemblies are installed in place of the former injector assemblies, the fuel and high idle settings must be changed.

NOTE: The 7W1035 Injector Assembly can not be used in an engine with the 2W5201 or 7N5427 Injector Assemblies, except as a complete set. The fuel rate for the 7W1035 Injector Assembly is different at any fuel setting than the fuel rate for the 2W5201 or 7N5427 Injector Assemblies.
