New Engine Time Requirement Guides (TRG) {0374}

Usage:

As Caterpillar's engine product line grows and product improvements are made, the need for new and revised engine Time Requirement Guides (TRG) increases. As a result, many new and revised TRG's will be published during the next few years. Eventually, there will be a TRG for truck, marine and industrial engines. The TRG's for industrial engines will apply to all engine applications EXCEPT marine, truck and mobile-ag.

Computer technology is now used to analyze and print the data for the TRG. This will allow faster response to requests for TRG review.

The format for new TRG's will change slightly to accommodate the computer generated printout. The format will be similar to the four existing TRG's for on-highway truck engines. The major difference will be the elimination of the horizontal and vertical lines. Also, the marine and industrial engine TRG's will not list multiple times because cab configurations do not apply.

The first in the series of new TRG's has been published for the 3412 Industrial Engine (Form SEBF7516). It is available through the Literature Order System.
