Keep Disconnect Switch Off During Machine Storage{1400,1411}

Usage:

All Caterpillar Products

The voltage regulators used in current Caterpillar Products draw 15 to 25 mA when the engine is not running. There will be an additional current draw if the machine is equipped with electronic supplemental steering and engine shutdown controls. This discharge current, over an extended period of time, can discharge the batteries to a point that the engine may not crank (starter may not operate) when a start is attempted.

If a machine is not going to be used for a period of time longer than a month, open (place in the "off" position) the disconnect switch.

Refer to Special Instruction SEHS7864 for additional machine storage information.
