Improved Valve Mechanism Cover Group Has A New Valve Cover And Seal {1107}

Usage:

All 3500 Series Engines

SUPPLEMENT: 09/30/85

SERVICE MAGAZINE, JANUARY 14, 1985, PAGE 11. The article "Improved Valve Mechanism Cover Group Has A New Valve Cover And Seal", should also include a new 7W2480 Tube Assembly (fuel line). On engines equipped with the former fuel lines, the fuel line must be removed before the valve cover can be removed. The new fuel line allows the valve cover to be removed without interference. The new 7W2480 Tube Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 8N8785 Tube Assembly which is canceled.

--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------

Description of Change: An improved valve mechanism cover group is used on 3500 Series Engines. The improved valve mechanism cover group has a new valve cover and an O-ring seal instead of the rectangular seal used with the former valve cover. The new O-ring seal is easier to install and gives a better seal.

Adaptable To: The new components of the 7N1855 Valve Mechanism Cover Group are adaptable to all 3500 Series Engines. For parts service see Chart A.

The improved 7N1855 Valve Mechanism Cover Group is in effect on 3500 Series Engines as shown in Chart B.
