If any of the parts on the engine oil pump are worn or damaged, the entire pump must be replaced. |
- Install engine oil pump (9). Install bolts (8). Tighten bolts (8) to a torque of
9 N·m (80 lb in) . - Fill engine oil pump (9) with clean engine oil.
- Position engine oil pump assembly (2) against the cylinder block. Ensure that dowel pin (10) and hollow dowel (11) are correctly located in the cylinder block.
- Install bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of
44 N·m (32 lb ft) .Show/hide table

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.
To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
- Clean spring (6) and plunger (7) of the engine oil relief valve. Lubricate spring (6) and plunger (7) with clean engine oil.
- Install plunger (7), spring (6), and plug (5) in engine oil pump assembly (2). Tighten plug (5) to a torque of
22 N·m (16 lb ft) . - Position suction pipe (4) and install bolts (3).
