Start By:

  1. Remove the water pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Water Pump - Remove".


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Use Tooling (B) to remove pulley (3) from the shaft assembly.

  2. Remove bolts and washers (2). Remove cover (1). Remove gasket (4) from cover (1) and housing (5). Thoroughly clean the cover and the housing.

  3. Position housing (5) on the press. Use spacer plates to level the housing.

  4. Push shaft assembly (7) out of impeller (6) with a suitable drive plate from Tooling (A) and a press. Remove impeller (6).

  5. Continue to push shaft assembly (7) out of seal assembly (8) and housing (5).

    Note: Do not allow the shaft assembly to fall to the floor when the shaft assembly is removed.

  6. Remove seal assembly (8) from housing (5) with Tooling (A) and a press.
