The Special Instruction, REHS1386, "Procedures for Modifying the Demolition and Scrap Shears for Installation of the New Covers" is available.

This Special Instruction provides the procedures and the dimensions for cutting the notches from the frame of the shear. This Special Instruction provides the procedures and the dimensions for welding the blocks onto the frame of the shear in order to install the new covers. The installation of the new covers provides easier access to the components of the shear.

The Special Instruction, REHS1386, "Procedures for Modifying the Demolition and Scrap Shears for Installation of the New Covers" can be obtained through the normal literature ordering channels. The publication can also be found on the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS).
