SUBJECT: Interference Between Quick Coupler and Stick on Mini Hydraulic Excavators
PROBLEM:
Figure 1: Dump Position
Figure 2: Rack-back position
Interference may occur between the work tool?s quick coupler and the stick. The interference occurs when the attachment is in the full dump or rack-back positions. Refer to Figures 1 and 2.
SOLUTION:
Figure 3: Underside of stick
Figure 4: Top of stick
If interference occurs, grind the contact area of the stick until clearance is achieved. Figures 3 and 4 show the effected areas. Care should be taken not to remove any weld from these areas.
- Grind a maximum of 12mm from both sides of the stick. Do not grind on the pin boss.
- Grind a maximum of 12mm from both sides of the stick.
- Grind a maximum of 25mm from both sides of the stick.
- Grind a maximum of 3mm from both sides of the stick as is necessary. Maintain a 45? angle.
Paint the reworked area.
