Mini Hydraulic Excavator

302.5 (4AZ05699-Up)

Component Code: 7164 6822

SUBJECT: Bucket Teeth May Contact Cylinder Guard

Problem:

When using the new style of boom and stick, a 302.5 Mini Hydraulic Excavator, fitted with a long stick and a quick coupler, can have the bucket teeth come into contact with the boom cylinder guard. The Building Construction Products (BCP) coupler and the Verachtert coupler are both affected.

SOLUTION:

Production and field fixes are currently being developed. Until the fixes are in effect, machines are being shipped with a decal to warn transport, storage, and PDI personnel of this possibility. Refer to illustration 1 for more information on the decal. Notification will be sent when a resolution is available.
