SUBJECT: Quick Coupler to Bucket Interference

PROBLEM:

There are reports of quick couplers with front and/or rear jaws that are too wide to fit between the pin bosses on the certain buckets.

SOLUTION:

Improvements are being made to the manufacturing process that will eliminate any interference complications. Do not attempt to grind or make repairs to the defective couplers. Do not attempt to grind or make repairs to the buckets, in any circumstances. Dealers should address issues to DSN. The affected machines and part numbers are listed in table 1. See illustration 1 for the details about the maximum width across the coupler jaws.

Note: Dimension ?X? is the dimension across the front and rear jaw. It is associated with both the "lead-in" to the bucket boss and the area that interfaces with the bucket boss. Table 2 below, shows details about the maximum width across the coupler jaws for each coupler size.
