XT-6ES Hose Assemblies Have Increased Reliability And Durability In The Front Lines And The Pump Lines Groups

Usage:

EXCAVATORS320B (5BR, 8ES),
320B L (6CR, 1DS, 5CS, 9CS),
320C (AMC, BPR),
320C L (ANB, BBC, BRX),
320C FMHW (BGB) EXCAVATORS

THIS TECHNICAL INFORMATION BULLETIN REPLACES THE APRIL 17, 2002 EXCAVATOR TIBU3544-01, COMPONENT CODE: 5057, "XT-6ES HOSE ASSEMBLIES HAVE INCREASED RELIABILITY AND DURABILITY IN THE FRONT LINES AND PUMP LINES GROUPS". DESTROY THE APRIL 17, 2002 TIBU3544-01. IT WILL NOT APPEAR IN THE SEMI-ANNUAL INDEX.

Problem:

The XT-5 hose assemblies in the front lines and the pump lines groups may blister on certain 320B and 320C Excavators. The development of the blisters may evolve into the loss of hydraulic fluid.

Solution:

If the hose assemblies in the front lines and pump lines groups blister and develop leaks, install new XT-6ES hose assemblies. The stress XT-6ES hose assemblies receive is decreased because the allowable minimum bending radius is fifty percent less than XT-6 hose.

The new hose assemblies listed in the table are provided for support of machines in the field that are experiencing blistering problems on XT-5 hose assemblies. Refer to the table for the procurement of the new hose assemblies.
