Approximate weights of the components are shown. Clean all surfaces where parts are to be installed.


Start By:

  1. Remove the center axle stabilizer rod.

  1. Remove bolts (1) and clamps (2).

  2. Attach Tooling (A) to the rear section of center suspension frame (3) on each side of the machine, as shown. The weight of center suspension frame (3) is approximately 153 kg (338 lb).

  3. Use a suitable bar and clevis to support Tooling (A). Attach Tooling (A) to the center suspension frame (3) as shown in Illustration 3. The weight of center suspension frame (3) is approximately 153 kg (338 lb).

  4. Disconnect hose assembly (4).

  5. Remove nut (5), washer (6), and bolt (7).

  6. Remove pin (8).

  7. Use two people to remove bracket (11). The weight of bracket (11) is approximately 24 kg (53 lb).

  8. Remove bolts (9) and bracket (11) from center axle (10).

  9. Remove bolts (12) from center axle (10).

  10. Use Tooling (A) to lower the center suspension frame to the ground. Lower and remove the center suspension frame from the center axle.

  11. Remove bolts (13) and clamp ring (14).

  12. Use Tooling (B) to remove bearing (15). Remove bearing (15).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install center suspension frame (3) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten bolts (12) and (9) to a torque of 900 ± 100 N·m (664 ± 74 lb ft).
