The information that follows should be added to the Operations and Maintenance Manuals that are referenced in Table 1.
Add the following sentence before the "When Required" heading in the "Maintenance Interval Schedule":
When you use steel tracks that go over the tires or when the machine is operated under severe operating conditions, check the drive chain tension for every 100 service hours.
Add the following note before Step 1 of the "Drive Chain Tension - Check/Adjust" procedure:
Note: When you use steel tracks that go over the tires or when the machine is operated under severe operating conditions, reduce the interval for checking the drive chains to every 100 service hours.
