Drum Scrapers - Inspect/Adjust/Replace

Usage:

CP-433C 1ZN

Smooth Drum Scrapers (If Equipped)

  1. Inspect the scraper and the nuts for damage. Replace the scraper and the bolts, if necessary.

  1. The scraper can be adjusted by loosening the nuts and adjusting the scraper.

Padded Drum Scraper Assembly (If Equipped)

  1. Drive the pin out of the tip from the retainer side of the tip. Remove the tip. Remove the retainer.

  1. Clean the adapter, the pin and the retainer. Install the retainer in the groove in the side opposite of the adapter.

  1. Install a new tip over the adapter with the retainer in place.

  1. Install the pin.

Drum Scraper CS-431C (Asphalt Compactor)

  1. Loosen the bolts in order to adjust the scraper.

  1. Adjust the scraper so that the blade contacts the surface of the drum. A small amount of preload on the blade may be necessary in order to increase effectiveness.

  1. Remove the bolts and remove the damaged scraper.

  1. Install the new scraper. Install the new bolts.

  1. Inspect the tire scraper for wear or for damage. Replace the tire scraper, if necessary.
