Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Machine Systems, "System Pressure - Release" for the correct procedure.

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
Note: Put identification marks on all hose assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies in order to prevent fluid loss and contamination of the hydraulic system.
- Disconnect harness assemblies (1) .

- Remove bolts (3). Remove brake control valve (4) .

Installation procedure
- Position brake control valve (4) and install bolts (3) .

- Connect hose assemblies (2) .

- Connect harness assemblies (1) .

- Check the brake operation. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Service Brakes - Test" for the correct procedure.
- Check the hydraulic tank level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check" for the correct procedure.
