Note: The front wheel is part of the wheel, brake and suspension. The following items are nonserviceable as a group.

(1) Rubber toric rings and all contacting surfaces must be clean at assembly. Apply a thin film of oil to the surfaces that contact the metal seals prior to assembly.

(2) Apply 155-0695 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of the ten bolts.

Torque for ten bolts ... 1800 ± 200 N·m (1328 ± 148 lb ft)

Note: Perform the procedure in the Steering System Testing and Adjusting, "Front Wheel Bearing - Adjust" before you install these bolts.

(3) 152-1672 Shim Pack

Shim Pack thickness ... 3.9 mm (0.15 inch)

Note: See the Steering System Testing and Adjusting, "Front Wheel Bearing - Adjust" in order to determine the amount of shims to use.

(4) Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of the 12 bolts.

(5) Prior to assembly, make sure that the rim mounting surface is free of paint and free of grease.

(6) 54 Studs

Torque for the nuts that assemble the rim to studs (6) ... 3100 ± 350 N·m (2285 ± 260 lb ft)

(7) Torque for studs ... 400 ± 60 N·m (295 ± 44 lb ft)

(8) Torque for nuts ... 900 ± 100 N·m (664 ± 74 lb ft)

(9) These plugs and these O-ring seals are only for the left side assembly.

(10) These plugs and these O-ring seals are only for the right side assembly.
