Schematic Of The Fuel Solenoid

If this circuit has no power or an open circuit or relay the engine will not star. No fault codes will appear because high current and low current to the solenoids should be fault F313, F316, F333 or F336. If the Key Start switch is On or has been On for an extended time without the engine running, the pull-in voltage for the solenoid drops off and the engine will not start unless the Key Start switch is turned Off and then back ON.

  1. Check the Main Power #1 (MF2) fuse for continuity. Is fuse open circuit?

    • YES, replace fuse, operate machine, and check fault codes. If machine operates and no fault codes are present, the repair is complete. If new fuse fails check for short circuit.

    • NO, go to Step 2.

  1. Check wiring for continuity per schematic. Is there continuity?

    • YES, check Relay (R16) and Fuel solenoid for proper operation. Replace component if failed. Operate machine and if no fault codes are present, the repair is complete.

    • NO, repair or replace open wiring. Operate machine, and check fault codes. If machine operates and no fault codes are present, the repair is complete.
