Incorrect Engine Temperature Readings Caterpillar

Incorrect Engine Temperature Readings

Usage:

WHEEL TRACTORS

LANDFILL COMPACTORS

834B (7BR) WHEEL TRACTORS, 836 (7FR) LANDFILL COMPACTORS

Problem:

Reports have been received indicating that the engine temperature gauge displays a temperature lower than the actual engine temperature. The incorrect temperature display is a result of a mismatch between the temperature sender and the temperature gauge.

Solution:

Replace the 3E-7259 Temperature Sender Assembly (not canceled) with the 6N-5926 Temperature Sender Assembly. The illustration below shows the location of the temperature sender assembly.
