Existing 107-3946 Idler Retainers in dealer parts stock inventory need to be inspected. These retainers are for use on certain D8 Track-Type Tractors, D9 Track-Type Tractors, and Pipelayers. Some of these retainers can loosen in service due to uneven surfaces in the bottom of the bolt hole counter bores. This unevenness is caused by worn casting tooling. If the retainers loosen in service it can result in bolt loss and oil leaks. |
Inspect all existing 107-3946 Idler Retainers in dealer parts stock inventory. Remove all 107-3946 Idler Retainers from inventory that have as cast bolt hole counterbores. |
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock. |
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. |
