ACTION REQUIRED
To repair, add a bead of silicone around the base of the cab to seal out any further moisture will be applied. The silicones that are to be used are a Momentive Performance materials RTV-108, Dow Corning Silastic 732 RTV, or Loctite RTV silicone. These should all be clear. This will seal out an further moisture from saturating the floor mat. For instructions on the cab removal process refer to UENR0394, Disassembly and Assembly. To apply, remove the cab, seat, heater and air conditioner group, and floor mat. Replace the soaked floor mat with a new 359-6832 Floor mat. Before installing the cab, clean both the cab and floor plate mounting surfaces and then apply a 5mm wide bead of silicone to the floor plate where the cab rests. Refer to Image1. Install the heater and air conditioner group, seat, and cab, along with all of the cab mounting hardware and tighten. Once the cab is tightened, wipe down any excess silicone that has protruded from this joint. |
