New Threaded Gland Cylinder Heads Have Stronger Seal Land{7562,4303,5102,5104,5105,5223,5229,5265,5452}

Usage:

Various Caterpillar Hydraulic Cylinder Groups: Articulation, Boom, Centershift, Lift, Side Shift, Steering, Stick, And Tilt

Description of Change: New threaded gland cylinder heads have a wider, stonger seal land between the U-cup seal and the wiper seal. The wider seal land should prevent cracking in this area of the cylinder head. Most of the cylinder groups, using the new cylinder head, require new wear rings.

Adaptable To: The new cylinder heads and new wear rings are effective with the engineering change number for each cylinder group in chart A.

NOTE: An engineering change number indicates effectivity of this improvement or adaptability to previous cylinder groups. The cylinder group part number, engineering change number, and date of manufacture are found on the cylinder assembly near the rod end port.

Cylinder groups in Chart A, having earlier engineering change numbers, are adaptable to this change.

Cylinder groups (all engineering change numbers) in Chart B are adaptable.
